Take a look at Natale and Caleb's engagement photos. They are a really fun couple! We took these photos in downtown Wilmington. I found this cool bridge- a little off the beaten path.  In between dodging cars- we got some really cool photos!

"Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they're supposed to run wild until they find someone -- just as wild -- to run with."

1024x768_SATC_3.jpgCoco Chanel said, "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous." I totally agree!  I thought we should start this blog off right with my favorite girls from Sex and the City. Isn't Carrie's dress the best ever? I LOVE it! I must say I am so excited for the new movie. Mark your calendars for May 30th- I'm totally planning a girls night out! If you haven't seen the new preview yet for the movie- check out the official website at www.sexandthecitymovie.com. It is very cool!

What great bridesmaid dresses! I love how they are different colors and styles, but they still look great together.

This is what my computer looks like when I accidentally hit something and it decides to go into 'time machine' mode. I have no idea how it actually works, but it looks pretty trippy! This little picture doesn't do it justice- you have to be sitting at my flat screen and the image moves like you are really traveling through space, or are at least on a cool Disneyland ride. So anyway, the point of all of this is- I will be going back in time with this blog to show you some of the amazing photos I took before April 8th, 2008. So if your thinking, "Hey! I thought this blog started with the 'Sex and the City' girls- where did all this other stuff come from?". Here's your answer- there is so much to show and my last blog just didn't do any of it justice!

Okay, I admit it, I worship Vera Wang. Let me tell you a designer dress is different than a lower priced dress. The fabric just lays nicer and the details are exquisite! Usually on the day of each wedding I get the brides dress and take photos of it while the bride is getting ready. Every time I see the little ribbons that the dress hangs by that say 'Vera Wang'- I have to secretly do a little dance of joy. It is a religious moment for me and it just makes my day! So, of course, I had to spend some time with the 'Vera's' at the Elegant Weddings Gala photographing their loveliness. You can purchase your very own 'Vera' at Alexia's Bridal. I highly recommend it!

We displayed our work at the Elegant Weddings Gala at the Prestonwod Country Club in Cary, North Carolina on March 6th. Can I say that I have dreamed of a bridal show like this for a very long time. The ballroom at the Prestonwood is absolutely fantastic and it is the perfect place to dream of your perfect wedding! The show was set up a little different than the usual bridal show. The room was divided into 4 sections. Each section had a different theme. The themes were romantic (light pink and black), timeless (purple and black colors), natural (light blue and tan colors), and dramatic (raspberry and lime colors). There were only one type of vendor per section- so only 4 photographers, 4 wedding planners, etc... The first table of each section was given to the florist representing that theme. The florists set the tone of the theme and brought flowers to decorate each vendor's table in their section. The florists were fantastic- there were so many flowers everywhere! I loved it! I brought my camera and took lots of photos. You will see a little sampling of the photos from all of the different vendors in my next posts.

Great flowers are a must for making any event perfect. Donna Pierce with Flowers on Broad Street is amazing. Her designs are unique and stunning. The centerpieces are often neglected at the reception. She uses vivid colors and unexpected items, like the green apples, that create a playful work of art on each table. It's the little details that really make a difference.
